Jamie P's Honda Powered Escort Cosworth

Long time customer Jamie (@JamieP.london) has built this unusual, but very cool Ford Escort Cosworth with the help of Paul Cheshire of P Cheshire Automotive Perfection.
Originally it was built with a Honda K24 engine, but since it was built Jamie has been chasing vibration issues, in the past we have tried all sorts of modifications to the exhaust system and engine mounts, which all helped reduce the vibrations but left it uncomforatble to drive. With that the decision was made to change to the K20 unit which due to its shorter stroke than bore diameter.

Where we come into the equation is replacing the previous exhaust manifold for our Honda K Series manifold, combined with the a custom 3.5" downpipe.

With the engine being mounted so far back in the engine bay, which is partly due to weight distribution, and partly  due to the steering rack position, meant that the downpipe was a tight squeeze. however we did manage to get a 3.5" down there without too much trouble.
