Optimised around Nissan S13, S14 and S15 K-Series conversions, the manifold positions the turbocharger to improve packaging, downpipe clearance and wastegate routing when the engine is installed upright in a RWD chassis.
Honda K Series Turbo Manifold - Designed for a 0-Degree K-Series Installation
Engine angle matters when packaging a turbo system into a converted chassis.
This manifold is specifically designed for K20 and K24 engines installed at 0 degrees – upright in the chassis. The manifold and turbocharger position are therefore arranged around the clearances created by that installation rather than simply adapting the standard RWD manifold.
For builders planning an upright K-Series conversion, this provides a purpose-built solution around which the rest of the turbo system can be packaged.
Honda K Series Turbo Manifold - Optimised for Nissan S-Chassis Conversions
The Upright manifold has been specifically optimised around Nissan S-chassis applications, including:
- Nissan S13
- Nissan S14
- Nissan S15
It can also be used in other RWD K20/K24 conversion platforms where the engine is installed upright and sufficient surrounding clearance is available.
For custom conversions, final fitment will still depend on engine position, mounts, steering components, turbocharger size and surrounding chassis architecture.
Honda K Series Turbo Manifold - Modern V-Band Turbo Options
The manifold is available with a Garrett V-Band turbo inlet suitable for G25, G30 and G35 turbochargers, along with compatible Turbosmart Frame B and HPT Frame 2 options.
This provides a useful range of turbo sizing for K20 and K24 combinations, allowing the finished system to be tailored around the intended balance of response, powerband and outright airflow.
Honda K Series Turbo Manifold - Turbo & Downpipe Packaging
One of the primary reasons for the upright-specific design is turbocharger positioning.
The manifold positions the turbo around the geometry of a 0-degree K-Series installation, improving the available space for the turbocharger and downpipe routing within the conversion chassis.
For an S-chassis build in particular, this allows the turbo system to be planned around the engine installation from the outset rather than compromising the exhaust routing after the engine has been positioned.
Honda K Series Turbo Manifold - Wastegate & Boost Control
The manifold features a 40–50 mm external wastegate port, supplied without a wastegate flange fitted.
The upright configuration is also designed around effective wastegate priority, providing strong access to exhaust flow for stable boost control.
The final wastegate specification can therefore be selected around the turbocharger, boost target and intended use of the engine.
Which Honda RWD K-Series Manifold?
Choose the RWD Upright Engine manifold when the K20 or K24 is being installed at 0 degrees/upright, particularly in an S13, S14 or S15 conversion.
For other longitudinal K-Series installations, Walton Motorsport also offers its standard RWD Conversion and RWD Large Primary manifold configurations.
Because engine angle directly changes turbocharger and exhaust-system positioning, the correct manifold should be selected around the actual engine installation, not simply whether the vehicle is RWD.

Material Selection
Every Walton Motorsport manifold starts with carefully selected 304 stainless steel tubing. Not all 304 stainless is manufactured to the same standard, and the quality of the tubing plays a critical role in the durability of the finished product.
Turbo manifolds are subjected to thousands of extreme heat cycles throughout their life. Lower-quality tubing can fatigue over time, and we've seen inferior materials crack or split along the welded seam under these conditions. That's why we specify the exact tube grade and wall characteristics we know will perform reliably in demanding street and motorsport applications.
Our cylinder head flanges are designed in-house and precision cut using modern fibre laser technology, providing exceptional dimensional accuracy and repeatability. Compared to traditional CO₂ laser cutting, fibre laser cutting delivers cleaner edges and tighter tolerances, ensuring an accurate fit and consistent sealing.
Manufacturing Process
Port-Matched Flange Construction
Rather than simply welding the runners to the face of the flange, Walton Motorsport machines each runner to pass through the flange before it is TIG welded from both sides. The ports are then hand-finished to produce a smooth, uninterrupted transition from the cylinder head into the runner.
This manufacturing method delivers several important advantages:
- Increased weld strength and long-term durability.
- Improved gas flow by eliminating abrupt transitions.
- A smoother change from the oval exhaust port to the round runner.
- Reduced turbulence for improved exhaust efficiency.
The result is a manifold that is stronger, flows better, and is built to withstand years of hard use.
Cast Merge Collector
At the heart of every Walton Motorsport manifold is our proprietary cast merge collector, designed entirely in-house.
Our latest collector design delivers the highest wastegate flow we've achieved while maintaining excellent merge efficiency into the turbine. The internal geometry provides smooth gas transitions, minimising turbulence and helping to reduce exhaust gas temperatures without sacrificing performance.
Unlike fabricated collectors assembled from multiple sections, our one-piece cast design eliminates internal joints and welds within the collector itself. This not only optimises gas flow but also significantly improves structural integrity, reducing the likelihood of collector failures that can damage turbochargers or engines.
