Developed for Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 4–9 4G63 builds, the Walton Motorsport Low Mount Turbo Manifold provides a modern V-Band turbo platform while retaining a compact, low-mounted turbo configuration.
Designed around Garrett G-Series and equivalent modern turbochargers, it's particularly well suited to Evo builds where response, compact packaging and usable performance are priorities without moving to a high-mount turbo arrangement.
Mitsubishi 4G63 Turbo Manifold - Modern G-Series Turbo Options
The manifold is available with a Garrett V-Band turbo inlet suitable for G25, G30 and G35 turbochargers, along with compatible Turbosmart Frame B and HPT Frame 2 options.
This gives Evo 4–9 owners a useful range of turbo sizing to tailor the combination around the car's intended use.
A G25 or G30-based combination can prioritise response and a broad powerband for road, rally or circuit use, while G35-size options provide greater airflow for more power-focused 4G63 builds.
Mitsubishi 4G63 Turbo Manifold - Compact Low Mount Configuration
The low-mount layout keeps the turbocharger package compact within the Evo engine bay, making it a strong option for builds where there is no need to move the turbo into a high-mount position.
For road, track and competition cars, this can provide a useful balance between turbocharger accessibility, engine-bay packaging and performance while still allowing the use of a modern external-wastegate turbo system.
Mitsubishi 4G63 Turbo Manifold - Wastegate & Boost Control
The manifold features a 45 mm external wastegate port with the flange fitted and is designed around the Turbosmart HyperGate45.
The wastegate runner and collector arrangement give the wastegate strong access to exhaust flow, helping maintain effective boost control as turbocharger size, engine speed and exhaust flow increase.
A Turbosmart HyperGate45 can be selected with the manifold for a matched wastegate solution.
Building Your Mitsubishi Evo 4–9 Turbo System
For Garrett G-Series applications, Walton Motorsport also offers a matching downpipe elbow for G25, G30 and G35 turbochargers.
This allows the manifold, turbocharger connection, wastegate and first section of the downpipe to be specified together, reducing the amount of one-off fabrication required when building the turbo system.
The remaining intake, exhaust, charge piping and turbo oil and coolant systems should be specified around the individual vehicle and turbocharger combination.
Choosing Your 4G63 Turbo Setup
The right turbocharger depends on how the Evo will actually be used.
For a road, rally or circuit application, response and the shape of the powerband can be considerably more important than peak power. For drag or higher-output builds, moving towards the larger end of the supported turbo range provides additional airflow capability.

Material Selection
Every Walton Motorsport manifold starts with carefully selected 304 stainless steel tubing. Not all 304 stainless is manufactured to the same standard, and the quality of the tubing plays a critical role in the durability of the finished product.
Turbo manifolds are subjected to thousands of extreme heat cycles throughout their life. Lower-quality tubing can fatigue over time, and we've seen inferior materials crack or split along the welded seam under these conditions. That's why we specify the exact tube grade and wall characteristics we know will perform reliably in demanding street and motorsport applications.
Our cylinder head flanges are designed in-house and precision cut using modern fibre laser technology, providing exceptional dimensional accuracy and repeatability. Compared to traditional CO₂ laser cutting, fibre laser cutting delivers cleaner edges and tighter tolerances, ensuring an accurate fit and consistent sealing.
Manufacturing Process
Port-Matched Flange Construction
Rather than simply welding the runners to the face of the flange, Walton Motorsport machines each runner to pass through the flange before it is TIG welded from both sides. The ports are then hand-finished to produce a smooth, uninterrupted transition from the cylinder head into the runner.
This manufacturing method delivers several important advantages:
- Increased weld strength and long-term durability.
- Improved gas flow by eliminating abrupt transitions.
- A smoother change from the oval exhaust port to the round runner.
- Reduced turbulence for improved exhaust efficiency.
The result is a manifold that is stronger, flows better, and is built to withstand years of hard use.
Cast Merge Collector
At the heart of every Walton Motorsport manifold is our proprietary cast merge collector, designed entirely in-house.
Our latest collector design delivers the highest wastegate flow we've achieved while maintaining excellent merge efficiency into the turbine. The internal geometry provides smooth gas transitions, minimising turbulence and helping to reduce exhaust gas temperatures without sacrificing performance.
Unlike fabricated collectors assembled from multiple sections, our one-piece cast design eliminates internal joints and welds within the collector itself. This not only optimises gas flow but also significantly improves structural integrity, reducing the likelihood of collector failures that can damage turbochargers or engines.
