To keep weight down D2 CNC machine their calipers from lightweight aluminium, and use a common pad shape meaning you have a great choice of pads to runincluding Ferodo, AP Racing, Carbotec, Pagid, EBC, Project MU and Mintex. Whilst the caliper is made from lightweight aluminium. The pad retainers cleverlydouble as bridge supports increasing the rigidity of the caliper.

These gives a firmer pedal feel loosing less precious braking power to material flex. Tokeep the calliper durable the street series features external dust seals preventing the ingress of dirt, salt and water which eventually leads to corrosionaround the lightweight aluminium pistons. When this happens the pistons do not move freely and braking performance is significantly reduced, along withpotential brake dragging issues. Whist the calipers are made from aluminium, D2 utilise S45C steel CNC machined to create the strong vehicle specificmounting brackets.
