Description
Turbosmart Fresh Air Valve ALV40
Introducing the Turbosmart ALV40 fresh air valve for Anti Lag Systems.
The Turbosmart ALV40 fresh air valve allows air from the charge pipe to enter the exhaust manifold via a specific set of pipes attached the manifold. This facilitates in allowing the engines timing to be retarded and allow combustion to happen inside the exhaust manifold. This in turn spools the turbo. Subsequently, allowing your engine to stay on boost, without the throttle pedal being activated.
To run a Turbosmart ALV Fresh Air Valve you will require a suitable manifold exhaust manifold which we can produce in house.
Featuring a 40mm valve diameter, a purpose designed actuator housing, inverted diaphragm and supplied with multiple fittings for ease of fitment and fabrication
Alloy inlet flanges are now available to suit the reverse orientation of the valve as well as specific 2,3,4,5 and 6 port outlet flanges, required depending on application.
- Whats Included?
- – TS-0552-1402 Turbosmart ALV40 Fresh Air Valve
- – TS-0550-3101 // ALV Inlet Weld Flange – AL

For fitting you will require a 4 Port solenoid such as the Turbosmart EB4 Solenoid – TS-0301-2003
FAQs
Can I add this to any manifold? – No, anti lag puts a huge amount of strain on your exhaust manifold. It is paramount that the manifold is designed to work with Anti Lag. Commonly we see pieces of the inside of the manifold broken off from the heat and vibrations that then go through the turbo causing failures.
What else do I need? – Aside from a compatible exhaust manifold, you will need an adapted boost pipe to source the air from. You also need a way to operate the valve. the Mac solenoid needs with an pressure or vaccum source. The simplest method is to use an air accumulator tank sourcing pressure from a boost pipe via a check valve. We also recomend e-throttle.
Will Antilag harm my engine? – No, providing it is setup and tuned correclty. In addition, it is important to consider how aggresivly it is setup.
How do I control the solenoid? – An antilag capable ECU is required, such as the ECU Master Emu Black
